Scrap is commonly quoted per kilogram (₹/kg) at the trader and yard level, and per metric tonne (₹/MT) in bulk contracts. One metric tonne equals 1,000 kilograms, so a ₹/kg rate multiplied by 1,000 gives the ₹/MT equivalent.
